Mel Stout is principal with Mel Stout Landscape Architecture. Mr. Stout has more than 40 years of experience in park planning and site/landscape design with particular expertise in developing major park master plans; designing park facilities, trail systems and greenways, and managing project construction. His 40-Mile Loop Master Plan received a Merit Award in 1988 from the Oregon Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects (ASLA), and was cited as an "excellent example of a detailed plan" by Charles Little in his book, Greenways for America . His Gresham Trails Master Plan received a Merit Award from the Oregon Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. Mr. Stout has special expertise in creating plans that make the most efficient use of land, while still respecting natural features and resources. He has provided landscape architectural designs and site planning for residential, recreational, and commercial developments, including single- and multi-family housing communities; planned unit developments (PUDs); apartment complexes, and residences. Mr. Stout has prepared numerous development, design review and planning approvals, often through extensive public involvement processes. |
